Membership Information in the Anti-Discrimination Network
Methods and Principles of Work of the Network:
The Anti-Discrimination Network works to improve policies and practices for the prevention of and protection against discrimination through strategic litigation, testing, and monitoring of the work of institutions; strengthening the capacities of communities, institutions, and other key actors; promoting equality, non-discrimination, and human rights of marginalized communities; conducting research and analyses in the field of anti-discrimination; participating in decision-making processes and initiating changes in policies and legislation; and reporting to and advocating before regional and international human rights and equality mechanisms, with the aim of advancing equality in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Anti-Discrimination Network operates through regular meetings and the joint implementation of activities. Member organizations regularly share information about cases, procedures, and institutional practices, cooperate in the design and implementation of activities, jointly advocate and coordinate their advocacy efforts, and support and promote the cause of the Anti-Discrimination Network as well as the causes of its member organizations. They also actively participate in the implementation of the Network’s activities, carry out tasks in a timely and high-quality manner, and communicate regularly via an email group. Members are required to act responsibly and confidentially and to respect the principles of equality and non-discrimination in their joint work.
The member organizations jointly provide resources for the operation of the Network and are obliged to allocate part of their human, technical, and financial capacities for the functioning of the Network, as needed.

Application procedure for membership:
To apply for membership, the association must submit a completed application and documents demonstrating that it meets the above-mentioned criteria. The documents should be sent by email to mrezazazastitaoddiskriminacija@gmail.com
The Anti-Discrimination Network will respond to the membership request within two months of receiving the application. The Network’s member organizations review the application, discuss it, and make a decision by consensus.
Interested associations should submit the following documents :
✔ Certificate of registration
✔ Strategic framework and/or action plans of the association from the past 5 years, annual reports from the past 5 years, and a portfolio of implemented and ongoing projects from the past 5 years containing information on the donor, key activities, objectives, and achieved results of the projects
✔ Reports on provided legal aid from the past 3 years, containing information on the number of services provided, cases represented, successfully litigated cases, strategic litigation, and similar activities
✔Employment contract or engagement agreement for a lawyer
✔ A signed statement by the responsible person expressing readiness to work towards achieving the goals and activities of the Network, to promote the Network’s work at national and international level, and to support the Network financially, technically, and through human resources
